The Secret Life Of Pets

I'm sorry to ruin your excitement if you think we're talking about movies today. But actually, we're going to talk about something more beloved to us than movies. Pets! Yes, today I'll be throwing some light onto how pets or animals are treated in this world. Most of us love animals. Be it a dog or a cat or a hamster or a horse. Phew! There are just so many animals to name.

Well, we live in a world where these animals like dogs, cats, sheep, goat are not treated the way they should be. Want to know the sad truth? In China, dogs are seized and beaten brutally because according to the law over there any dogs which are on the leash or are unregistered are beaten to death. Really? Are we as humans so insensitive that we are beating up poor animals? To hell with the law if the law suggests that kill an innocent soul. This is pathetic. Who knows there might be a law tomorrow to beat up and kill the beggars on the streets? This has to stop! I am open to showing pictures and graphics but they are so upsetting that I do not want to put up such pictures. Dogs that are such innocent and loyal and poor souls do not deserve this. Animals feel the pain of religious slaughter but they just can't say anything.

It's not only dogs. Baby goats and sheep are slaughtered and are sold in the name of "Organic Meat". Those animals are killed while they're conscious. Since 2011, the number of sheep and goats slaughtered without being stunned in the United Kingdom has more than doubled. According to the Vet Times, more than 3.3 million sheep and goats were slaughtered without proper stunning, meaning they were fully conscious and able to feel pain. Baby Seals. Animals that are so calm and adorable to look at are killed in Canada and many other places. Most harp seals are killed when they are 3 weeks to 3 months old. The Canadian government recognizes that “young harp seals provide the most valuable pelts.” In other words, sealers prefer to kill baby seals because their pelts fetch higher prices.

Cows are considered sacred in India and that is what is keeping people from slaughtering cows in India. But the real question is... Do we have to declare animals sacred just to keep them from being slaughtered? No! That is very wrong. All animals deserve love and affection. And if you are a non-animal lover, it does not give you the right to kill or harass any animal.

The heading "The Secret Life of Pets" might seem a bit confusing as you might think what is the "Secret" in their lives. Well, I'll tell you what it is. The pain and misery that these animals hide is a secret in the lives of these animals. The torturing is a secret in the lives of these animals.
