A boy in a "man's" world
Part of being a man is learning to take responsibility for your successes and for your failures. You can't go blaming others or being jealous. Seeing somebody else's success as your failure is a cancerous way to live. It is very important in today's world to know the difference between a boy and a man. Now, some people will make fun of this but many people still don't know the difference and people will make fun of this too. Let's start, a man will always take responsibility for his action but a boy will make excuses for his actions. Nowadays, this is very common, be it school or any other place but the blame game is always on. Age is just a number, you can be a 13 year old but have the maturity level of a 65-year-old. A man will lift you up when you're feeling down but a boy will kick you down while you're down. The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection, but a boy will stress about his situations and eventually mess up. A man wants to please one woman, a boy wants a hundred girls to please him. A man will look for a wife and not for another girlfriend. A man will not brag about pulling over a new girl every weekend but he'll brag about having one girl for his whole life. A man expresses his true feelings and shows his emotions, a boy hides his feelings and tries to be “tough”. A man can recognize a woman’s worth, a boy doesn’t know a good woman when she is right before his eyes. A man understands that feminism is simply the belief that men and women are equal. A boy thinks he must provide for you. A man knows that a relationship means the two of you are providing equally for each other. A boy bottles everything up, and lashes out because of anger or other pent-up emotions. A man always tells the truth, a boy lies, cheats, and deceives. A man has respect, a boy doesn’t really understand the true meanings of that word. A man has a vision and sets goals, a boy can’t see past tomorrow. A man will always stand by your side no matter what but a boy will look for excuses as to how to stay away from danger. A man will not burden someone else with his own problems but he will always be ready to listen to others problems. A man is a good listener but a boy is not. A man is confident but a boy is cocky. Be a man. A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool. A boy speaks but a man acts and that somewhere leads us to the phrase actions speak louder than words. "Promises promises?". A man sticks to his word whereas a boy breaks his promises which again leads to one more saying, "Promises are meant to be broken". A man sees what he wants and earns it but a boy sees what he wants and takes it. There's a thin line between the two, isn't there? A man makes a home but a boy plays a house. Unlike a drop of water which loses its identity when it joins the ocean, man does not lose his being in the society in which he lives. Man's life is independent. He is born not for the development of the society alone, but for the development of his self.
And last but not the least, a man will read this article without getting offended. Be honest... Did you get offended? You can lie to others but no to others which once again is the trait of a boy and not a man. Be a man. I repeat age is just a number and you can be a 13-year-old but be as mature as a 65-year-old.
